I figured out that there are
223 calories per serving, if 6 (I cup) servings are made. (Please note that the calorie
counts vary depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to
use.)
I liked the
crunchiness of this salad. Of course, I did change the recipe and omit the
squash, which might have made a huge difference but that is not my thing. This
salad is a perfect side for a summer lunch. I love corn so I may be a little
bias, but this pretty salad worked for me.

Goal: 85.5 lbs. (100 lb. loss
between 6/1/14 – 6/1/15)
- 7.4 lbs. this
week’s loss
78.1 lbs. lbs to go
This
was a great week. Twenty two pounds in two months is thrilling. Last week I ate 1,700 something calories every day. This week
I tried 1,600’s and 1,700’s with one 1,800 thrown in for good measure. The
change helps my body avoid reaching a plateau. I have to admit I was pretty darn
thrilled with a 7.4 weight loss, but I just keep focusing on every day.

I
reached my goal of 10,000+ steps for three days this week. Reaching 10,000
steps every day is pretty difficult for me, but I am satisfied with three days,
because last week I only reached it for two days. Some growth is better than no
growth. Okay, let’s start thinking about the upcoming week. Reflection time is
over.
***An exciting accomplishment yesterday. Since my highest weight, when I worked at Munhall, I have now lost a total of 155 pounds! Yee Ha! I am so thrilled.

Wants and Wishes
One
of the worst parts of losing weight, is having to buy a new wardrobe. I wish my
new clothes would magically appear rather than actually having to shop for
them. I am definitely not a fashioneesta, because it is not something I value.
Oh I wish I were a dog and didn’t have to think about clothes or waste time
shopping.
I
like to wear what is comfortable, not fashionable. Jenny has graciously offered
to go shopping with me, but our tastes are so different that I am not going to
put her through the frustration of shopping with me. So, I will bite the bullet
and buy some new outfits to last just until winter when I will have to do this
all again. Yikes shopping stinks.
