Recipe Review
Today’s
Recipe and Location: Coconut
Curry Shrimp

I figured out that there are
497 calories per serving, if 5 servings are made. (Please note that the calorie counts vary
depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)
I love this
dish! I was surprised that they
didn’t put shredded coconut in the dish but coconut milk. Now I knew coconuts
had milk in them, but never knew you could buy it in a can. Who knew? Did you?
This is a wonderful filling dish. The honey gives it a sweetness while the hot
sauce an extra kick. This is amazing. I did substitute Brown Instant Rice for
the Basmati Rice suggested in Ree’s recipe. I had the brown rice in the
cupboard and it saved me a trip to the store.
A Day At The Farm
The
Scent Family has a yearly picnic. For the past two years, it has been hosted by
my cousin, Lori, and her amazing husband Chuck Frieders. They own a farm in Marseilles, Illinois, which is
wonderful, for the family get together.
There
are seats outside and in the nearby garage, we had a hayride and were able to
tour the farm and see all of the animals. As usual, Lori is such a great
hostess and everything once again ran smoothly. Here are some of my pictures
from my day at the farm.
Today, the farm. Tomorrow, the animals.

I love looking out over the landscape. The farm is a beautiful place to live. |
|
Chuck said this is an old tractor in need of repair. |
|
I had to ask what the heck this was as I walked by. This is a machine the rakes up the hay or straw so it can be baled. |
|
Every farm needs a silo. |
|
This barn held some of the animals and machinery. |
|
I didn't go in this barn |
|
This tractor was parked in the yard with a hay wagon attached. Time for a hay ride! |
|
Everyone ready to go?? Chuck starts her up |
|
Going... |
|
Going... |
|
Gone!
I loved this day on the farm. |
