Special Event: Boot Shopping
In
my wildest dreams, I never thought I would have to go shopping again so
soon. Unfortunately, I didn’t
think about what footwear I was going to wear with all of those new dresses. It
is time to put the sandals and flip flops away, and I realized that I am left
with a few pairs of old lady black shoes, low black boots, and tennis shoes.
After
talking to Jenny, we decided that I needed tall brown and black boots. Of
course, I want some that are comfortable. Jenny did mention that some dresses
need a dressier boot. Of course,
she is right, but if I know myself (and I do), I will come back with the
comfortable ones. I have never been a fashioniesta and I would hate to start
now. Let’s face it. I am too cheap to spend any more money on clothes and boots. They are just not something I enjoy or value.
These are the boots that I bought last week at Carsons. |
I love all of the straps and buckles |
They may be really casual, but I love'em |
So
off I went to DSW. After opening the door, I was already overwhelmed. There
were more shoes and boots than I have ever seen in my lifetime. There were at
least eight aisles of boots, alone. My first thought was REALLY????? OMG! Where do I begin? The store was packed, but everyone was
really nice. I went to the DSW store off of Rt. 59 by Costco in Aurora. It was
a bad hair day and I hoped I would not run into anyone I knew. The good news was – I didn’t see a sole
person I knew. I loved using the
word sole – and it wasn’t even intentional. HA!
I
tried on several pair and was just thrilled to death that I don’t need boots
for an oversized calf like I used to need. I had located one pair of brown
boots last week at Carsons – so I was on the hunt for black boots. I
ended up buying three pairs of boots. Did I need three pair? No! But I never
want to go back there again so it seemed like a great idea at the time.
So
I am now the proud owner of four pair of boots. Hopefully, they will last me
for many years to come.
These have a snakeskin back and a few straps |
the front and have laces all of the way up the back. |
