I figured out that there are 548
calories per serving, if 10 servings are made. (Please note that the calorie counts vary
depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)
The photo doesn't show the hill in the middle. It was chocked full of yummy apples. |
OMG! This is a
wonderful pie. I loved the way the apples mixed with the toppings and the
caramel. I had leftover apples and topping and just put it in the oven in a
small ramekin. I actually sat in my recliner enjoying the warmth and goodness
of this mini treat. Now, I am a crust girl and that is all that was missing.
When I had a small piece of the actual pie, my thoughts were confirmed.
Everyone at Mom’s house who had the pies said that they were wonderful.
My Beautiful Toes
I
can’t believe I am actually writing about this, but I must admit when I am
wrong. I am not really into manicures and pedicures, but this weekend was fun.
I
must admit that I will continue to get a monthly pedicure because it really is
wonderful. It is a pampering
experience and my feet look better than they ever have in my life. I was not a
girly girl as a kid, but I do like this experience. Jenny Anderson was there
when I arrived and she convinced me to put a gray colored nail polish on my
toes. I told her it would be awful and they would look dirty, but then changed
my mind and tried it. I hate to admit it, but she was right. Here is the proof:
I am not going to continue having
manicures because I ruined the one I had within the first two hours. I cannot
just sit still and wait for the nails to set. Sharon, from Tranquility, did an
excellent job, but I totally ruined four nails. What a bummer!
So,
for the future it will be a monthly massage and pedicure for this girl.
My Gorgeous Girls
Today
is not about my gorgeous girls but about two beautiful dogs met over the past
weekend.
Two days ago, I was at Walmart
at 7 a.m. and saw a man in a wheelchair trying to reach spices. I offered to
help him if he needed something on the top shelf. We struck up a conversation
and I complimented him on his service dogs. I asked if I could take a picture
and he consented. These dogs were beautiful and definitely on the job.
Thank
Heavens for working animals who make a positive difference in a person’s life.
