Today’s
Recipe and Location: Dressing
with Sausage, Apples, and Mushrooms

I figured out that there are
411 calories per serving, if 16 servings are made. (Please note that the calorie
counts vary depending on the specific brands of ingredients that you choose to
use.)
If you look closely, you can see the chunks of Granny Smith apples and Italian sausage. Yum! |
I made this over the
last weekend and I have had some every day since. I really like the apples and
sausage mix. I did not use the mushrooms, as I do not like the texture. I also
doubled the sausage, which was a great idea. I think that I might even add more
next time. This one is a keeper for me.
Random Reflections
As
I finally relaxed tonight and turned on the TV, I was amazed at how many
commercials and news reports talk about the sales and upcoming throngs of
people waiting for Thanksgiving morning to begin the mass chaos called
shopping.
My
best friend, Kathy, loves the whole Black Friday thing, but that is my worst
nightmare. On Friday, I will be as snug as a bug in a rug reading in front of
the fire.
I am
with so many people every day that I love the holiday season as a time to relax
and live a solitary, quiet existence. That is what a vacation is to me.
So,
I support those that love the endless bargains and crowds and raise my warm mug
of cider to you all.
Irksome Ideas and Images
I
was quite irked today by the endless stream of traffic at 4:15 on my way home.
It seems like we all get out of work at the same time, and my 20 minute drive
ended up to be almost 32 minutes. The stop and go, bumper to bumper, traffic
makes me weary. Oh well, it won’t be long until I can avoid going out at that
time of day. I guess I’ll just have to “get over it!”
