Recipe Review
Today’s
Recipe and Location: Pumpkin
Ravioli
Found
in: The Pioneer Woman blog
I
am new to the concept of ravioli. I know this is shocking, but I have only
tried it one time. I just ate it cooked with no sauce. I can’t say I enjoyed it
in any way. Apparently, I need to have someone show me how to cook it, and what
to serve it with for dinner.
This
recipe interested me because it was made with pumpkin, which is something I
really like a lot. I must say that I have cooked more pumpkin recipes since I
was introduced to Ree’s books than ever before. Since I have no idea what to
expect – I thought I would pass on this dish until I have had ravoli at a great
restaurant and know what really good ravioli tastes and looks like.
Random Reflections
I
really enjoyed my little venture in Christmas shopping for my great nephews. I
only spent about two hours at the stores, but I was thrilled with the happy
helpful people I encountered. The stores were not very busy and in both stores
I was offered help. Since I knew nothing about Transformers, I took up the guy
offering help. Between the two of us we figured out what Nick had and which
toys I could purchase. For someone who hates shopping, two hours is about my
limit. I came home very satisfied that in two hours I shopped for Nicholas,
Colton, and Wyatt, and had time to pick up Rachel’s gift, too. Now, I only have
Josie left, and I have six days to get that one gift. I had a happy day. Merry
Christmas shopping to all of you and may you finish shopping in two hours.
Irksome Ideas and Images
I
hate hearing complaints about Christmas shopping. I understand that there are
crowds and increased traffic and limited supplies. My answer is plan ahead.
Stop whining and make your list in September. That way you can pick up a few
things here and there when you are out and then sit back and enjoy the holiday
season without whining.
