Recipe Review
Today’s
Recipe and Location: Pea
Salad
Found
in: The Pioneer Woman blog
I really wished that I ate peas
because that is the onlt ingredient that I am on the outs with today. This
recipe has BACON – what could be better than bacon??? It also has cheese – can
you spell CHEDDAR? Onion is one of
my favorites. Of course what else
could you need other than spices, mayo, vinegar, and sour cream. If only I could get rid of the nasty
little peas. Of well – this is one
for all of you.
Fabulous “Family and Friends” Food
I received a crepe
maker in the late 1970s, when they were the thing to have, at the time. One of
the girls at work gave me this basic recipe. I was pretty happy when I found my
crepe maker when I cleaned out the kitchen cabinets.
The
recipe she gave me was:
Mix together 1.5
cups of milk, with 2 Tblsp. of vegetable oil, 3 eggs, 1.5 cups of white flour,
and 1/8 teaspoon of salt.
I used to make
dessert crepes out of ice cream and toppings. They were wonderful. I also made meat stuffed crepes. They
were like a light sandwich. You can do some awesome lunches with these crepes
like a light wrap.
