What the Beck???
"Bardstown" Wednesday, Day 3A
The house was in poor repair
Oh my!
This outbuilding was barely standing
Everything was overgrown
Can I get out of here????
The second property
was 6670 Woodlawn Road. $359,000.
This view is looking up a worthless driveway
The home looked very nice.
The outbuilding was in good shape.
I drove a little farther down the road to see the other side.
I like the tall deck on the back.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this property!!
The house was beautiful with the hanging ferns in the front.
I liked that it was partially bricked.
I was tilting - it's not the house
This outbuilding was perfect and looked new
The barn isn't leaning either.
The driveway would need to be replaced.
What is with all of the gravel driveways??
I studied these plants for a long time, and
came to the conclusion that they may be tobacco.
I've never seen it before, but the leaves were huge.
This house was gorgeous
Unfortunately, this was the view from the driveway.
This was another view
The next entry will be of downtown Bardstown.
Yeah for the food and the shopping!!
Today, I spent my time in Bardstown. In
2014, Bardstown’s population was 12,998. I decided to begin by visiting the
properties that looked interesting on Zillo.
I began at 865 Popular Flat Drive.
According to Zillo: $329,000 17.01
peaceful acres with lake and pasture , small amount of woods . Log home built
in 1800's with addition in 1981. Beautiful kitchen with tile floor and lots of
hardwood through out. Has 3 large bedrooms plus two rooms in the basement. 3 baths. Great
place to enjoy horseback riding or an ATV. There is a 30 x 60 unattached
garage, concrete floor and electric with a loom shed. Only 3 miles from
Historic Bardstown.
My take on 865 Popular Flat Rd. is OMG it
is AWFUL!!! The driveway is uneven
mounded gravel. My car really struggled to get up and down the horrible driveway.
The exterior of the outbuildings was “DUMPLIKE.” Everything was overgrown, and
to me it was grossly overpriced. It has only been on Zillo for 91 days, but I
am sure it will remain there for a really long time. The land was even awful –
a major waste of time.
This was a very long and very rough driveway.
There were times where my little car bottomed out.

The second property
was 6670 Woodlawn Road. $359,000.
According to Zillo: Beautiful
vinyl home, 2 car garage, open floor plan, 3,800 sq. ft., 4 bedrooms 3 full
baths, hard wood floors, new appliances, walk out basement with windows, super
super nice home, central air, heat pump, wood stove in basement, all cash
offers must have proof of funds letter, and all financing offers must have
prequalification letter with offer to be considered. Will sell house W/5 acres,
or house W/10 acres, or house W/15 acres / price to be adjusted. If you would
like to take a look give me a call 502-827-2898.
This home looks
great on the exterior. To get to this home in the winter, a 4-wheel drive is
necessary. The gravel driveway in the photo would need to be replaced. I drove up to the home and was met by
two angry dogs. The garage door began to open all of the way up, so I just
booked outta there!
The home looked very nice.
The outbuilding was in good shape.
I drove a little farther down the road to see the other side.
I like the tall deck on the back.
The third property was 6808 Loretto Road. $305,000.
According to Zillo: This home was built in 2010 and sits on 10.73 acres. The home has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and is 2,000 square feet. A 2-car attached garage and covered back porch are great. This property is fenced, has a small hay barn, livestock shed and 30 x 48 detached garage. It has been on Zillo for 238 days.
My reaction to this property is WOW!!! What a showplace. Perfect land and outbuildings, A great area and I LOVED IT. Since I returned from Kentucky that property has sold. It will be wonderful for someone.
The house was beautiful with the hanging ferns in the front.
I liked that it was partially bricked.

I've never seen it before, but the leaves were huge.
My final Bardstown property was at 120
Harriet Avenue. $350,000
According to Zillo: Pristine
Executive home located in town on 8.03 lush acres in the Most Beautiful Small
Town in America!! This gem of a property boasts three bedrooms, two and a half
baths with two car attached garage and full partially finished basement with
2500 sq. ft. of spacious and comfortable living space Lovely hardwood entry
greets you as you enter into the spacious Living Room with gas fireplace. Eat
in Kitchen with beautiful hardwood floors features an abundance of custom white
cabinetry with built in desk area & tile
back splash. Kitchen comes equipped with a full compliment of appliances
including dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and range/oven. Highly desirable
breakfast bar is an added bonus. Nice Eat in Dining Area overlooks the private
back yard. Formal Dining Room is perfect for entertaining & large
gatherings. Spacious first floor Master suite with decorative trey ceiling will
accommodate oversized furnishings. Master Bathroom with corner Jacuzzi tub
& separate shower. The second floor houses two additional Bedrooms and full
Bathroom. Venture downstairs to enjoy the comfortable Den/Family Room.
This was a
crazy placement for an 8 acre property. It is right in the middle of town. I
drove down a dead end street of small brick homes, went through a gate covered
with vines and surrounded by very tall trees which opened up to eight acres of manicured
lawns. It was as if the angels sang when you passed the gate. Unfortunately,
the views that surround the property are of main and small streets, and a water
tower. The home beautiful. What a
shame.
