What the Beck???
It was so shiny and clean
This one had such a nice ride.
I love Cracker Barrel!
My Final Trip to Kentucky
I just finished my last
scouting trip to Kentucky. It was a great productive trip. My goal was to visit
Burkesville, Bardstown, Leitchfield, and Taylorsville on this trip.
“The
Drive” Monday, Day 1
I left home at 6:50 in order to
get the girls to the Vet by 7:30 a.m. I checked them in, which is so hard for
me to do, and zoomed over to Yorkville to pick up my rental car – an adorable
midsize red Chevy.
This one had such a nice ride.
With this color red, I could always locate my car quickly.
We programmed my newest DORA,
and off I headed to Elizabethtown, Kentucky and the Hampton Inn. This will be
my “home base” for the entire week. My first purchase of the trip was at the
Cracker Barrel somewhere on Route 65S in Indiana. I found fabulous birthday and anniversary cards.
I love Cracker Barrel!
I love these chairs.
This was the first time I ever saw blue chairs.
I really like the white ones best.
Of course, the real purpose
of stopping here was a “pit stop.”
This trip was supposed to
take almost seven hours, but it took a lot longer due to driving 45 mph in all
of the construction zones. Needless to say – I’m not taking Rt. 65 home. I had
a nice dinner and read the third Harry Potter book until I fell asleep. (Steve
– are you proud of my that I am finally reading Harry Potter?)
That's awesome, Becky! I started with the third book after watching the first two movies. When I read the third one, I couldn't stop and started the fourth immediately. I was up so late that I think I hallucinated a centipede walking on the book, because I threw the book and then never saw the centipede again. :) All that to say that I understand reading Harry Potter until you fall asleep!
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip! Hope the traffic is better on your way home!
