What the Beck???

The Best of Nelson County 2017

Background:  I was reading The Kentucky Standard, our local newspaper, and they had a section called The Best of Nelson County 2017. This section listed 100 categories for the Readers' Choice Awards. This is the third installation of my visits to these winning business locations.

#70    Best Dentist Office:  The winner was Shrewsbury, Claywell                                               & Oliver Dentistry

Shrewsbury, Claywell & Oliver Dentistry
is located at 621 N. 3rd Street, Bardstown.

502 - 348 - 5901

I was happy to find a local dentist when my molar "crown" popped out. I was able to temporarily put it back in place, but I
needed a local dentist to cement it in again. My neighbor, Denise Barnett, highly recommended this Dental Office. I was thrilled to learn that they were on the Best of Nelson County list.

When I called for an appointment, the doctor's were really booked up, so they suggested I schedule with OnCall which is a part of Shrewsbury, Claywell & Oliver Dentistry. If you have an evening emergency, or need a dentist like I did quickly, you can schedule with them in the evening by calling the main number.

A side note:  Robyn tell Steve that I am still loyal to him!

Dr. Taylor Cox and his trusty assistant Katlin Bertram.
They were excellent and I highly recommend them.

Ashleigh Bowman was the receptionist on duty Friday Night.

#29    Best Antique Store:  The winner was The Rusty Rooster

The Rusty Rooster is located at 620 Bloomfield Rd., Bardstown.
502 - 349 - 9299

Two of the ladies who helped me.
Thanks a bunch!

A photo of some of the items for sale.

I fell in love with the pink coffee or teapot,
but didn't buy it because of my giant purchase.

I have been searching for a table that I can turn upside
down and turn into a "princess" dog bed. My friend, Robbie,
asked me to make some things for the Barktown Animal
Rescue auction. I saw this idea online and thought it would
be really cute to create and hopefully make the shelter
some money.

This was my large purchase of the day. Being a
crafter, I have a lot of small objects. Even though I
have a tremendous amount of shelving, the small
items either fall off or fall behind the shelves, so this will
solve a huge problem in my craft room. I don't
love the paint job, but I will have to wait for the rest
of the furniture to be removed before I begin
arranging and decorating my work space.
