These cookie bars begin with the dry ingredients.
I measured in the flour,
salt,
and baking powder.
Now on to the other bowl.
In went the butter,
that I mixed with the brown and
granulated sugar. I also added in the
egg and vanilla. Where is that camera?
I mixed it on low and then combined with the
dry ingredients. Then I took out half,
and spread it into the greased pan with my fingers.
OOPS! Skipped a major step. I spread the
Nutella over the bottom dough. Here is the other
half of the dough that I placed atop the Nutella
that is really hiding below the surface.
Final ingredient was to sprinkle on the hazelnuts.
I used my hands to push them into the dough.
Here is the pan, fresh out of the hot oven.

I
figured out that there are 268 calories, if 12 servings are made. (Please note that the calorie counts vary depending on the
specific brands of ingredients that you choose to use.)
These
are great bars!! They have a lot of flavor and are so easy to make. I shared
them with the Barnetts and my working crew: Jerome and Travis. This is a recipe
to go to when you are in a hurry.

If you look carefully, you can see the brown
Nutella layer. Better late than never.
